★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came here daily 3 days in a row. The food was a hit for breakfast on all 3 days. Absolutely loved their version of French toast. The cabinet food was also declicious.
I loved the creamed rice and sandwiches and pretty much everything we ordered.
The highlight was the hot chocolate where they give you a bar of Benetts chocolate. This magically melts in the drink and makes it even more divine.
Would come back here again and tell everyone about it.
Worth the drive and stopping by.
Best to go
Early morning on weekends to avoid crowds so you can get a good seat. Their set up is great and the service is brilliant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You definitely have to stop on this cafe between Auckland going to Whangarei or somewhere north and try their chocolate, and eat at their rustic and well presented cafe!
So much choices for the chocs, definitely a haven for chocoholics like me!
Cafe downside is when it gets too much busy, you might need to wait a bit longer for your orders to arrive. Nonetheless, highly recommended place at Mangawhai!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m sure their hand crafted chocolates made from sustainably sourced cocoa (since 1998) are incredible. I also have no doubt that their freshly made pastries, signature hot chocolate and cinnamon brioche are delicious.
Sadly they have a strict no dog policy so we simply can’t confirm the above praise.

Unreal little european cafe, feel so foreign for NewZealand. Definitely a gem to visit in Mangawhai.
