★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot for recharging the car, while driver and passengers recharge themselves too. 4 chargers available. Public toilets a short walk away. Public rubbish bin too. Good views of Lake Taupo and the mountains on a good day. Across the road a reserve to walk the dog. Walking distance to city centre.

With these superchargers, it should take about 1 hour to charge from 0 - 100%, but while you are waiting, you can go down to Lake Taupo for a swim, or just lay down on the beach. There is also McDonalds, Lone Star, SubWay, and other restaurants about 5 minute walk away.
