β β β β β The Botanic Garden in Christchurch is a very calm and interesting place. There are a lot of different greenhouses and plants to discover and the place is beautiful as well!

β β β β β A beautiful place to relax. There are plenty of sitting areas. The Botanic Garden tour costs $20, you can get a $2 discount coupon from iLEX. There are many parking space inside the Botanic garden. Tour guide Mike was very friendly, fun and knowledgeable. The tour took 1 hour.

β β β β β A great place to walk on any day. Don't let the weather put you off it looks great even when wet. There are plenty of places to sit and relax. And there is also a nice cafe. The gardens and flowers look great neatly presented with an array of colour.
Off street parking is possible but it quickly fills up. Situated behind the Museum on Hagley Park the Botanical Gardens are easy to find.

β β β β β My husband and I visited the gardens and Ilex Restaurant for afternoon tea. It was busy but we were able to secure a table as soon as we arrived. A nice selection of food and drinks and very well presented. We do enjoy our visits.
