★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the most unprofessional and poorly operated massage boutique I have ever been to. My parents had been a regular at this establishment for over a year so purchased me 6 massages for $240. After having two of the massages that were purchased, upon my third visit following the COVID lockdowns, I was then informed AFTER the massage that I needed to pay $80. This was not discussed prior to the delivery of service and only after the fact. I was informed the voucher had expired yet they had been inaccessible for months due to lockdown and also refurbishment. When booking this we had confirmed that the voucher would still be available due to the extenuating circumstances yet were effectively told, following the appointment, completely to the contrary. After eventually sorting this "miscommunication" out I was contacted 4 days later to inform me that I needed to pay for this massage. The honest truth is I found the massage itself great but the unprofessional nature and conduct of the management there, especially during the tough times small businesses are facing, call into question the integrity of the establishment. As a supporter of local business it leaves a bitter taste and I would recommend supporting other boutiques within the community where you're likely to be appreciated as a client not just a paycheck.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bespoke Facial - they did not ask me at all what concerns I had with my skin, during the facial it felt as though they just slapped layer upon layer of goo on my face, none of which had the desired effect I was wanting.
Massage - I have been fortunate enough to have massages and facial treatments in some of NZ best spa facilities and never have I ever felt more uncomfortable than I did here.
I will never go back here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came here during lockdown level 3 as they secretly were allowing customers to come and get eyebrows and stuff done at her papatoe and papakura store. Anita charged me $35 for a full face wax and I get it done for $20 at other parlours and $15 for just a fringe trim other hair salons are just $10 for a fringe trim i felt very ripped off with her prices and will not go back again.
I also came back home to see my face wasnt waxed properly and had patches of hair left it felt like she was quickly waxing and doing rough job. Very sad how during lockdown you still want to do business but rip people off.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ladies here are amazing but it is a shame that when dazzling sold, it went to such a greedy family.
I've been coming for over 3 years and today I went for a couples massage that was booked weeks ago and this will be the last time I go.
Every time I have gone for book appointments, I am bombarded the second I walk in by the new owners with requests to get more services. When I booked this couple massage, the fb page was full of pictures advertising $130 for couple massage. When we came in today, after being asked if we wanted additional services, we were charged $180. When questioned the owner said "we are fully booked" so full booked you wanted us to add a facial and eye brow threading to our massage?
We booked this in advance, got a baby sitter, so yes, we payed the money. We passed our complaints on to one of the amazing girls who work there who took it to the owner for us. When we got out of the massage the owner says "So sorry, I deleted the fb photos." Not sorry enough to return the $50 over charged though, just sorry you got caught and sorry enough to hide the evidence.
Before I gave birth, I was going every month for a wax and was going to start that up again soon now that my son is old enough to be left with a sitter but no worries, Papakura has many salons and I will be taking my money and recommendations to one of them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thank goodness there is new management who are obviously customer focused. My daughter and I had massages as part of our day together for her birthday. The 60 minute massages are excellent and also good for men to enjoy as well as women. We will be back for more.

Got a full face wax & thread $45
- Missed patches of hair.... Everywhere
- Ripped off skin in two places around my eyebrow
- Got home & found wax in my hair
- Very rough, not gentle at all during the process
- Whatever products they used after reacted poorly with my skin, wish they had communicated before applying it
Don't recommend purely based off of this experience, would recommend doing it yourself at home over getting it done here.
