β β β β β New owner was unfriendly, rude and poor customer service. Travelled 1 hour, as discussed on the phone, to find shop closed, 2 hours earlier than on website & Facebook page. Email & voicemail left but no response after 3 days. He promised to post them but we drove 2 hours return trip when not posted after 2 weeks.

β β β β β Just had old pair of leather riding boots resoled and some sewing repairs to leather half chaps.
The two dudes who run the show are down to earth, did a top job at a good price - whilst I did my other town jobs.
Bludy awesome.

β β β β β A fantastic little shop that does way more than just repair shoes. They are also very good at sharpening chef knives and repairing/stitching any leather items.
Highly recommend. ?

β β β β β Dropped some leather sneakers off to have a minor glue up along the side where the sole had started to come away from the sole. Picked them up to find massive scratches in the leather, the glue all over the place and the sole still coming away. I am furious as I could have fixed them myself but the guy said it would be an easy 30min job. Won't be going back.

β β β β β Update: After seeking some professional advice from Meindl on the work done by Dr shoe they believe they need resoleing again. I approached Peter and he agreed to refund my money and the price to replace the damaged rand. He apologized and we both agreed it was a disappointing encounter. I believe he could have done a good job if he had taken more care and time, but unfortunately this wasn't the case for me. I'm now getting them resoled by Meindl's preferred repairer.
Patronising, rude and made a HOLE in my $700 tramping boots. I wish I could give minus stars. Peter was extremely rude. I took in my boots in for replacement of the inner rubber. Dr shoe was recommended to me by a friend with the same boots. It appears that with my tramping boots absolutely no care was taken (which, apart from the inner rubber where in also new condition). There was glue all over both pairs of boots, holes/gaps in the workmanship around the rubber, and a very obvious HOLE in the front of one boot that wasn't there before! When I went to pick up them up, I asked about the hole and what the white stuff that was all over the boots. He said he'd fix it now. I had to run out to repark the car. When I came back he had removed some of the glue and did a very rushed fix on the hole. I was obviously upset as these were very expensive boots and was worried that they had been ruined, I was only after some reassurance. When I asked him about it, he simply said (rudely) "well it's fixed now!" I was trying to understand and get some kind of assurance from him. I tried to ask what would happen if the boots didn't stand up over my next tramp, he rudely said "obviously! if a service isn't good you can bring it back". I hit him up about being patronising and rude, he said I'm serving lots of other people (there were people behind me - I felt like I was being dismissed). I explained I felt like there wasn't much care taken with my boots and that there was no mention of the hole or anything when I called to see if they were ready. He said he didn't notice it, which shows there wasn't any care taken, as I saw it straight away. Then he tried to say it happen when taking the sole off and it was the quality of the boot ... which was it? I was initially told it would take 3 days, and it was almost 2 weeks when I finally rung to check. I didn't mind waiting as I wanted a proper job which I said. I was then told sarcastically "you have a great day now!" I left crying and I don't cry easily.

β β β β β Horribly rude, blunt and twice now promised pick up time's but turn up and they can't even find my boots. Repairs are cheap but they don't last long. They close early on a whim and you have to wait until Monday to collect only to find that the jobs not done. Definitely going elsewhere from now on.
