Rent an electric scooter for 2 for the day, it was a very pleasant way to go around and discover the island.
Just the battery is running out a bit fast but since most of the activities are close it's not such a big deal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Using electric bikes on Waiheke is definitely a brilliant way to enjoy the island giving u a chance to visit many places at your own speed whilst being really fun and still getting some exercise. Some of the hills are steep and worth the extra power. We hired them on 2 days and did have issues with not all the bikes giving the same power( one only worked with the throttle- no pedal assist. Another had varied power and ate through the battery.) Whilst the bike without power was replaced. It took a while whilst waiting for bikes and beyond to come to us about 45mins. However they did replace it with a better quality bike. Also many of the helmets had been taken by the time we arrived and the remaining ones were limited and getting a bit old. No nets were provided so hope no one shares their nits!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ friendly welcome, however a few distractions obviously had caught up with them and we were turned away when we arrived 5 minutes prior to pick up. On our second attempt 15 minutes later, things still needed to be organised. As we had booked the off peak ferry the 30 min getting ready was a little bit disappointing and we had to rush our tour. Moreover, one of the bikes wouldn't start after our lunch break and we were asked to wait another 20 min for someone to come to the rescue. After 10 min we received a phone call to tell us that due to road works they were not able to come and help out and we were given strategies to solve our problem, which fortunately worked. Additionally one of our participants needed to upgrade on the chosen bikes as he is very tall and quite heavy. Maybe this extra charge of $20.- or specific sizing of the bikes could be mentioned upfront in the charges!
However, the e-bikes are an excellent way to explore the island and I can recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived on Waiheke Island during an extremely busy Queens Birthday weekend and we were very fortunate that the folk at Bikes and Beyond were able to accomodate us at last minute. Within minutes they had two Premium E-Bikes available. The older gentlemen gave us a good deal and the younger gentleman was very helpful and recommended some great spots to visit. Overall great service and very helpful. Highly recommend!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rented eBikes for the day. The battery on our bikes diminished surprisingly fast during the day, so we called the store for help and the owner came out to us and replaced the bikes free of charge! Such wonderful hospitality. Thank you, we had a great day!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We hired 3 electric bikes. Bikes were generally good apart from one that didn’t work. Wasn’t until we were on the other side of the island that we realised it didn’t work - for the hilly parts ?. No refund offered. But team friendly on arrival and very helpful. Great way to see the island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service is excellent! If you run out of power, you can go back to the shop and get a new battery, and I cycled all day, and at the end OF the day I still had 55% charge, which was really good
