β β β β β The restaurant is located in the Half Moon Bay marina area. There is usually plenty of parking around and a nice view of the marina when there is still daylight.
They are usually busy so it's always a good idea to book, particularly if you have a largeish group.
They have a nice selection of delectable Japanese food and the servers were really friendly. We stopped for dinner and there were two menus, one for food and another for drinks.
We shared a few things and grabbed a plate each. The food is generally quite nice. Flavourful and tasty. The portions for some of them were a bit small though. I quite liked the tempura roll and you could taste the prawn tempura. Both the sashimi and tempura were nice but the portions were small even for the large, possibly made for two. The nadeyaki udon was also quite nice. The tasty broth and chewy noodles were good. The tempura on top was nice but did get soggy in the broth. There were also only a couple pieces of chicken and mushroom in it.
Most items were around the $20 mark. the more interesting ones like the teppanyaki was closer to $30. I personally thought the portions were small but similar to other Japanese places.

β β β β β DONT GO if you want to have a good time with friends or family. Just go to the Thai or any other restaurant at the marina where you can spend quality time with your friend or family.
My wife and I went to celebrate our 14th anniversary and after one hour eating and drinking we were asked to free our table despite many other tables were available and there was nobody outside or waiting... VERY SAD to go to a place like that where you cannot have a good conversation or spend time with your loved ones in special occasions. We are never coming back for sure. DONT GO is my advise to you if u want to enjoy your time. Food is regular and if you want to eat a good Japanese food there are many other good places to go.

β β β β β The food was great but unfortunately when we got there, they misheard our booking and for a few minutes we're argued with as they disputed our reservation. It was my birthday and I was high embarrassed for feeling we had our booking wrong when in fact it was the staff who had. I would go again for the food but not for the service.

β β β β β Delicious food! Pricey but very worth it. My fave is the teriyaki beef. The sparkling sake was soooo good too, and definitely try the green tea mud cake if you have room for dessert! ??
