β β β β β Very friendly staff full of local tips, excellent access to the water for boats, kayaks & fishing. Nice and quiet atmosphere surrounded by nature. Good kitchen and even a bait freezer provided. Cafe on site, kayak hire, Stay 3 days for even cheaper rates.

β β β β β What a nice place to stay on the way to Cape Reinga! Pet-friendly, the lady at reception was welcoming, and they have lots of camping spots! With a ramp to access the water, suitable for boat, kayaking and any water-sports. I would not suggest swimming in it, but my dog had a great time there.
I gave it three stars as the facilities were not in good condition; perhaps it was more to do with guests not being clean and tidy this past holiday but, still, it is a good spot.

β β β β β Great place to stay, however there was no after hours number so could not complain about unruly people in the cabins blasting their music way past the curfew of 10pm. Also, spent $3 on the shower to not get any hot water and I couldnβt contact anyone about that either. Other than that, the place was cool and the cat was cute

β β β β β Good camping ground but unhelpful reception. Only the main campground is secured. The beach is only good at low tide. Pool is small for the number of campers.

β β β β β Twice in a row tents βΊ was open, when we left for few hours. Not ideal and trust worthy campers. Especially, next to TF13. Overall it was nice and frandly place. Staffs awesome.
Ps. If you camp here have secured tents. I.e locking facilities

β β β β β Great spot if youβre into fishing. Also a perfect location to explore Cape Reinga, 90 mile beach and area. Wade over to the beach at low tide. Stunning.

β β β β β Amazing spot honestly. At high tide the estuary looks crystal clear and is so great for snorkeling and doing other things like kayaking and paddle boarding. Would definitely recommend checking this campsite out. The toilets are a little too cramped and there isn't enough showers, but I understand that in busy season it is pretty hard. Also the pool looks crowded and quite manky. But the location and the friendly as staff make up for it. Thanks for a wonderful stay and happy new year
