★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We bought a property using Jeremy last year and were disappointed in Jeremy's service. He was, disorganized and difficult to deal with.
This was our first home purchase and our first time using Jeremy. Our dialogue and questions were meet with the feeling we were inconveniencing him.
The days leading up to our sale of purchase, we had no contact, so contacted Jeremy to check on the progression of our loan. At this point it came to light he had forgotten to request my partners KiwiSaver and now there was no time to do so. He attempted to blame us for not reminding him, but apologized when he was shown the multiple emails expressing that this was required.
The end result was he was unable to get KiwiSaver out before our original date of sale and we had to postpone our sale by a week. This pushed us out of the 5 year Brightline test into the 10 year Brightline. Significantly disadvantaging our entire future. Something he should have foreseen as a major issue as a conveyance lawyer.
We would strongly recommend against using Jeremy, I hope this review helps others reconsider their choice before choosing Jeremy as your lawyer.
I don’t know if we’re looking at the same correspondence, I have two emails sent six weeks in advance explaining what our deposit would be made up and that KiwiSaver would need to be withdrawn. My name was initially spelt incorrectly on all of our loan documents you had me as ‘Mikaela Piper’. You may be looking at the incorrect email thread.
