Looksmart Alterations is always looking for extraordinary individuals to join the team. We currently have positions vacant for Tailors, Sewing Machinists, Shop Managers and Customer Service waiting for you. With our on-going training, you will extend your tailoring, management, dressmaking, fashion and customer service knowledge which inline, will help you advance in your career. In fact approximately 15% of our existing franchisees started as Looksmart staff working as tailors, shop managers and even customer service staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shabnam did an amazing job, I gave 4 dresses to alter, she made sure it was exactly how I wanted it and she did them quite fast. Looksmart st Luke’s is known for being overpriced and in the past I’ve had very bad experiences. Shabnam really did some quality work. Edit: The actual owner should learn some manners.

Went in to get a school jumper zip repaired was told it would be $35 to put a new zip pull on and there was no guarantee that it would work and then it would be $60 to replace the whole zip! A brand new jumper is $70 from the uniform shop!! Went down the road and had the zip repaired for $10!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ $29 to shorten a simple pair of trousers by about 2cm and if you want to pick up on the same day, it is an extra $10; which is a pain if you live far away. Doesnt take that long to do either .. maybe about 10mins with a sewing machine? The charges all up exceed the cost of the trousers. Not returning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Customer service I had was very disappointing. Was served by Asha and practically spoke to me as if I was stupid. Had to repeat myself a fair few times for her to even understand where I wanted my pants cut. As a seamstress of 5+ years, I was interested to see how another company will handle a simple job like this, and the customer service is what let them down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was quoted $106 to shorten the sleeves on a suit jacket. I was then charged $110, and told the original quote was only an estimate. Very suspicious to get such an exact "estimate"
I was then charged ($14.99 each) for 2 x garment "Unpick button holes". When questioned about this, I was told the second one was to re-stitch button holes, but they don't have an option for that on the till so had to use a different item.
Overall, an unfriendly staff member with poor English and multiple "extra" what appear to be hidden cost items
