★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there today and was served by a staff member named Dan, and he gave us proberly the best customer service I have experienced in a retail store. We were looking at headphones, and he listened to what we wanted out of a pair (after previous diaspointment with a bigbrand wireless pair) and instead of pushing the most expensive alternative product onto us, he figured it out and showed us a certain pair we didnt know existed which were cheaper than what we thourght we were after. We bought that pair and tested them out, we couldnt be happier, Thanks Dan

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thankyou to the wondeful staff who right on closing last night (31/5/2022) opened the doors back up to let my husband come in and purchase a new microwave as I had a wee woopsey with ours 10minutes earlier. They were super helpful, friendly and made a really easy sale. So thankyou you saved us last night. Its a shame that the lady closing the doors at Briscoes earlier then their closing time could not have been more helpful as well but well done Noel Leemings Rangiora ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incompetent store manager doesn't know how to deal with customer. Went to the store today with my partner have decided to purchase a fridge freezer, washing machine dryer combo and a microwave oven with total price $4k+, served by a lovely floor staff Sophie. Until we decided to make payment and ask if any discounts since we purchase quite a few appliances at once. As Sophie does not have the authority to do any discounts so she approach her manager Sam. The store manager came out with very ridiculous “deals” by adding more $$ into total price without asking what the customer actually need and came back with the total price with extra $500!
When asked with is the origin $4147 now became $4500 we have been told they have included 3 years extra protection for those appliances + delivery & install + $20 voucher/year for next 5 years bla bla bla...
What we need was simple. If there’s any discount, or delivery fee waiver. Yes or no, very simple. Stop adding other unnecessary items and stop pushing customer to spend more $$ than their budget. The manager Sam was like “sorry mate, that’s how we do the bundle deal”. NO you don’t make decision for your customer to follow your deal, you tailor the deal according to your customer needs and offer them your best offer.
Floor staffs were lovely, definitely not the store manager. Especially his customer service and communication skills in dealing with customer was appalling. We end up getting our appliances from Harvey Norman and smith city which offer better price and deal. Sorry Sam you just lost an easy $4k+ business because of your ego and incompetence. Maybe this $4k doesn’t mean anything for you. But as a store manager, is a shame that you couldn’t even deal with such an easy business. Disappointed, won’t be bother to go back
