★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I actually love the convenience of this airport. Arrived at the domestic terminal without any headaches. Got towards the baggage claim within minutes. Very fast and smooth just like Auckland but slightly fast and smooth.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gets rather congested in busy hours. Good signage for amenities. Baggage collection at opposite end of airport. Easy assess in & out for traveling out via taxis, shuttles etc. It pays to book ahead for traveling on taxis & shuttles. Super shuttles let you reduce costs & share rides with other customers. Plenty of Hired Vehicle centres to choose from if required.

Can someone please tell me why it is ‘recommended’ to arrive 4 hours prior to departure when bag drop/check-in doesn’t open til 3 hours prior to departure and the security/passport control gate doesn’t open til 2 hours before departure?
Never been to an airport having this weird control measure.
‘Cafe’ once into international departures area is utter trash and needs a major upgrade, the departures area itself is so plain and boring. Please make this area better.
Beautiful scenery though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an experience we had today, we needed to check in an oversized bag which we'd never done before so we asked one of the Air New Zealand staff for help. They directed us in what to do and where to go so we took the bag to the oversize bag drop and the 3 staff members on that desk were very friendly and helpful and gave good advice for the next time we do the same process. From there we proceeded to the normal bag drop and the staff there were pleasant and made the process very streamlined. After that we went through security and the staff there were also very friendly and helpful. The entire process from check in to boarding was brilliant. They definitely had the A team on today 11/3/22.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most stunning approaches in the world. Nestled between the Remarkables and lake Wakatipu making for a very scenic landing and takeoff. Its a busy little airport but has everything you need & the staff were great.
