★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing beach front walk or head up the hill and along ridge, old gun emplacement, panoramic views of South Island and more. A must place to visit and explore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good spot to stay the night if going with the ferry. Basically no phone coverage so you have to walk back a couple of hundred meters to find a signal. Could be bad if you get a message about delays etc. Nice walk along the beach and clean toilets. 20 minutes from the ferry terminal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great escape from the city center, love the road to the centre alongside the sea. To be honest loved the drive more than the destination itself, but still enjoyed spending time at this place. Strong winds so be prepared especially during the cold winters.
