★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extreeeemely slow, at any time of day. Would recommend going to any other vtnz in Tauranga/or the country. Failed me on my wof on the silliest thing (my fog lights were “too bright”) - and wasn’t much help to fix it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very thorough with their Safety Inspections to ensure we are safe on the roads - Although it's very Busy with a bit of a wait, once in the Inspection is Quick.
Tidy and clean, polite Customer Service.
At present the Fee was $65.00 for a WOF

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, was heading off to Auckland and found that my wof expired. I went here early that morning. I have never had a wof done so fast. 30 minutes tops. Wow!!!! Going to a mechanic takes ages. Mind you, I have never been so anxious watching my car get a wof and predicting the worst while hoping there will be nothing wrong. Thankfully, I was all good. These guys were awesome. Thank you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT waste your time here.
I went on a weekday during their self proclaimed 'quiet time' (on their Webpage - now deleted since talking to the manager). Waited 3+ hours for a WOF on a Monday afternoon (their 'quiet time'). Made a complaint via the VTNZ website which was forwarded to the branch manager. The branch manager suggests I "come in April instead of May as the COVID lockdowns have caused a backlog of cars needing WOFs." How is asking the customer to come a month earlier than their wof expires a solution?? When I mentioned the three hour wait, his response was "I'd have to hire another two guys to get through the queues" which apparently he can't do?? I showed him the website that stated weekdays 1pm onwards is their quiet time, and he says this is incorrect and this is actually a busier time of the day for them (see above). Following this, my car fails the WOF on a few things, some legit, some questionable.
I give my mechanic the list of what has failed and he fixes them. I take my car back on a Saturday... another 2 hour wait. The car fails again. Except this time the guy fails me on something the first guy didn't... and says he wouldn't have failed me on something the first guy DID fail me on. Absolutely ridiculous, inconsistent and the mechanics have nothing legible to support what they are saying. How does it make any sense that the second guy fails me on something the first guy didn't, and then says he wouldn't have failed me on something the first guy did.
Finally, the website page has been changed (see above), however the webpage says it closes at 12 but the sign out the front of the branch says 2pm (have taken a picture for their record). They can't even get the basics right....
This place is an absolute joke. The waits are ridiculous, the technicians are inconsistent with no clear explanations for things that have/haven't been failed on and the manager cannot provide basic solutions to the SAME complaints that are voiced on this branches online reviews. I will make sure this goes to the National office, not the branch manager and will never go to this place again, nor recommend it to anyone else if they ask.
For a three hour wait, $72 and technicians that are blatantly inconsisent, I recommend you go ANYWHERE ELSE for a WOF.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lady over the phone needs better communication skills. Didn’t answer my question regarding if there was space for me to get a WoF done, which there wasn’t when we turned up after ringing. About 20 cars in front which she could’ve told me over the phone to save a trip there. Made sarcastic remarks and didn’t bother answering my questions properly or listening to my question regarding whether they were too busy to take my car. Also just read the reviews on here, not worth going

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolute waste of my time. Spent the extra money and had them look over my car for 1 hour while three other cars went through the other lane. Watched them try and snap my door off to check for play (they found none) Gave me a massive list of panel report requirements after it has just been panel and painted professionally and various other things. Took back to the panel beater and paid and he confirmed the car has no structural damage and doesn’t appear to have ever been in a crash and has no rust. Fixed everything on the list. Came back for a recheck and they spent another 1hour on the car while others hardly got looked at. Came back with another massive list again with completely made up panel beater report requests. One of which was for the guards being slightly rolled?? You guys are a joke and a bunch of failed, useless mechanics. Don’t bother your time they charge through the roof and have no idea what is safe and what isn’t. They’re not overly cautious they’re just plain dumb.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't waste your money on this place. Sure it's handy being able to drive in and get a WOF without a booking, hence why I went here. They are overly pedantic. They failed me because my full headlight beams were 1°c too low and apparently too dirty. Took it elsewhere, told them about it and they just laughed and said my lights were perfectly fine. No need to spend $2k on getting new ones. VTNZ are full of bitter washed out mechanics. To top it off the old guy i dealt with was so rude after I asked if it being 1°c out was such a big deal to warrant such a massive cost. His response was "I'm not going to argue with you, if you don't like it, don't come back." Then stormed off. Very very unprofessional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great facilities, however due to Covid they were understaffed. The people behind the counter were helpful and friendly and once I got to get the Front of the queue it went quickly. Fortunately the 2 hours waiting was spent talking to others in the queue. No one was angry but understood the current situation because of the virus.
A lesson in how we should deal with people, stay calm, be patient and roll with the punches.
