About Absolute Radiology
Sue Smith-Howard
Sue is the Managing Director of Operations at Absolute Radiology.
Sue has extensive experience in Radiology management since first taking on management roles in 2002. She has a special focus on staff education and development, with a passion for making sure the patient has a friendly and professional service when visiting a health facility.
Born and bred in South Taranaki, Sue has a special focus on ensuring those patients who need to travel for imaging are accommodated within our facility – with an effort to be flexible and save further trips to NP.
Sue qualified with a NDMDI in 1994 and has worked in many radiology roles including clinical tutoring, CT, sole charge and after-hours management and call.

β β β β β Not a good experience whatsoever.
The radiologist caused unnecessary pain with her rough examination, her manner throughout the proceedure was cold, unfriendly and belittling. She took it upon herself to provide me with her personal diagnosis from the scan, which once the specialist had seen, turned out to be a complete (mis)diagnosis.
My complaint to manager Smith Howard totally minimised my concerns and I do not consider adequate investigation was undertaken.
I refuse to lower myself to their standards by playing their silly games. I have asked my GP never to refer me there again.

β β β β β The lady that did my scan was absolutely wonderful, the biggish girl at reception, quite rude, looks at ya like your a bug, you shouldnt work at reception if you can't be polite!

β β β β β I took my mum to absolute radiology 07/07/2021 and it was such a wonderful experience. They bought a wheelchair out to my mum as she was going there for a CT scan on her broken foot. I just think the staff and services there are AMAZING. Thank you so much to the team at Absolute radiology.

β β β β β My experience was horrible got and ultra sound, the lady was rude and rushed to get me out the door, didnt give me the option of taking home photos either, when I went to go make a complaint she was hanging around the desk trying to intimidate me to not make one.

β β β β β Went in for an ultrasound with my daughter today. The lady doing it was extremely rude. Commented on my 16 year old daughter's size in front of her. Asked questions about why my daughter was getting the scan. Then told me rudely to turn my phone off when it wasn't even on.
The size comments were made more than once in the appointment.
