β β β β β The job was to repair broken automation on a gate. The positives were that the two people who actually completed the job were polite, and the automation problem itself was initially fixed.
However, once we realised one new arm was fixed at an angle, ACL did not believe it needed fixing, stating that because the gate itself was working that was all they quoted for.
The photos show the gate. If standing from the inside (first photo), the LHS arm is fixed nice and straight (second photo), whereas the RHS is at an angle and is about 100mm below the LHS (third photo). ACL said the bracket on the gate must match the angle of the bracket on the column, but this does not explain why the arm connecting the two is at such an angle.
