I also wanted a sheath for it and there wasn't one available on the website, so I rang the company and the receptionist told me she had one in her hand at the time which she promptly put back on the website so I could order it. I give that type of service another 5 Stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered 8m of 28mm manilla rope x2 for a swing I'm making, salesperson read my order incorrectly and thought he was doing me a favour giving me a 10m piece (2m extra) of 32mm for the same price.. unfortunately I needed 28mm and 2 of them! They were polite on the phone and super fast at correcting this order. Even left me with the original piece of rope that was sent incorrectly. Arrived 2 days after I ordered it and that's from Auckland to hawkes bay. Highly recommend this company. Also - the rope is far more beautiful that it looked on the site! Absolutely stoked with it. Five stars!!

Honestly we had been taking about getting some fishing rods for a while.
I am going to be straight up and let you know. I have no clue what to do.
However l have watched a lot of Gone Fishing ???
So coming here on New year's day with my partner. It was so nice to have someone who was patient and understanding of what we needed.
With a little/no experience.
He talked about the size of the rods.
Which would be best for the examples we gave him.
He showed me how to do the knot.
Talked about casting.
Looked at the website for tides.
And when the fish maybe out there.
Like not the middle of the day. ?
He give us the pamphlet which had all the information you need for the sizes of the fish. Just in case.
We also got the hooks and sinkers from him as well. l know this sounds dumb however l felt that excitement for the challenge ahead and learning a new skill.
I know it's a journey full of memories and there isn't always going to be a fish. At the end of it.
But I'm so delighted to give Mike the owner my 10/10 for the best service for an area l don't understand.
We were talking about the experience for most of the afternoon.
I will tell anyone who ever needs this tailored skilled service they need to see you.
Thank you so much for your passion for what you do.
We live all the way out South Auckland. But you have a customer for life as long as your store is open.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst customer service I have ever had. I've never written a negative review for anywhere before, but my experience with Action Outdoors warrants it. They incorrectly advised me despite my very clear and specific instructions for my requirements. They then failed to issue a refund when the product that arrived was not even to the measurement I ordered (and that they advised!). It was significantly larger than advertised, and as such, was not fit for purpose. They ignored emails and will not provide a replacement or refund for this large purchase. Even after hearing from my lawyer, who clearly outlined where they were in the wrong, they have ignored us. We are now going to small claims court, where we know we will win as the case is very clear and we have been advised we are 100% correct in our claim that they owe us a refund under the Consumer's Guarantee Act. Order elsewhere people! Support good and honest people!
