You needed to drive almost 40 minutes to activity in whitianga. However Cathedral cove and Hot water beach was closer There needs to be more restaurants and more activity in Cooks beach..

β β β β β Excellent experience. The owners, John and Lorraine are really sweet and with such a goodwill! The place is beautiful, it has everything you can need and more. It's super clean and fancy, really good looking. It's located in a lovely and quiet area, 5 minutes drive to Hahei and 2 minutes drive to the centre. Great quality-price ratio. The place where you'd want to spend your holidays!

β β β β β Positive: Comfortable room and bed. Cooking facilities ok. There is a outdoor barbeque area but didn't use because of weather.. Negative: Wall between adjacent room not sound proof so could hear talking and snoring. Wall heater not very effective. Switch for bathroom extractor fan hard to reach..

β β β β β I see the owner has taken it upon himself to discriminate against unvaccinated guests. Before someone starts litigation it may be prudent for one to remind the owners it's illegal to discriminate on race gender age and medical reasons. I'm a suffocated market cutting off a portion of potential guests it's ludicrous. Maybe the owners love economic suicide or maybe it's impmy way to much local mandel hooch has been smoked.

β β β β β Positive: The property was lovely! Really well thought out designs and owner John was super friendly and a good chat. All you needed for a weekend away. Wished we had more time there to enjoy the kayaks and the rest of what the property had to offer.. Negative: As the property is on a new road using the Google maps to find the place as suggested by John was very frustrating late at night as it didn't show up correctly (was taking us down the wrong road). The bathroom could have been cleaner, appeared clean because of the newness. Few building jobs not 100% complete inside, otherwise amazing!.

β β β β β Worth it! 5 minutes from whitianga, 15 minutes to hot water beach and 10 minutes to cathedral cove. Right next to the water. Owners are super nice and friendly. The unit came with more than what we thought, and a nice outdoor space. Would definitely stay here again!

β β β β β Positive: Lovely fit out, comfortable room with fantastic attention to detail and a simple but convenient breakfast offering. Nice amount of room and very quiet area.. Negative: Only dislike was the bathroom extractor fan which is on a sensor and turns on often and buzzes for some time which in a small environment is a little detracting to an otherwise great stay..
