 I was in New Zealand from June to August 1976 on a milk production and grazing system observation trip in this great country and I attended during the week of field day that year in Ruakura, attended by great researchers who had been in Mexico from Ruakura, the best experience in my professional life this training, extraordinary experimental station that of Ruakura, very grateful to New Zealand, God Bless you

Mrs E A BIRCH Were there till they retired some years later. Growing up on the farm was great and to be associated with Dr McMeekan and Mr M J CAMPBELL was something to be hold. My brother (Sir William Birch) Bill and myself enjoyed the social side of the sports club ,Been able to play tennis & cricket.The first year or so mother was their cook come what may at the Home stead which catered for some 20 plus men,the homestead to us kids was like living a dream
The memories I have of living at Ruakura are vast too many to tell in such a short space of time .WALTER BIRCH
