★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely setting but unfortunately everything else was very disappointing especially how I have previously rated it as one of the best winery restaurants.
Terrible service. You have to go to counter to order. A very unhelpful female waitress.
Menu limited and food average.
No coffee !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For a relaxed family friendly winery in a stunning location this is it! We visited 4 vineyards and this was the best overall experience. Friendly staff, good food and a really nice outdoor space to hang out and enjoy the wine and views. Oh and the wines were nice too, though the automated wine dispensers might not be the best for a traditional wine tasting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wine and setting was lovely, a beautiful winery. Deserts are absolutely amazing. Unfortunately the rest of the food we felt very let down, we had about an hour wait for ours. The platter was very below average and dry, the asparagus was nice.

Simple and straightforward wine tasting session, exchange your credit card for a wine tasting card and off you go. $1 for the smallest tasting portion enables you to find your favourite wine without getting drunk. Free shipping for over 6 bottles purchased. Kept us hands free on our flight back to North Island. Great environment setting, did not dine in so no comment for that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not the most personal tasting I have been to. Paying for a card and serving yourself is not my idea of a wine tasting experience. After tasting wines and then wanting to purchase only to find the wines were not in stock added to my dissatisfaction. From there went to Hunters and had a very welcoming and satisfying wine tasting, one I would go back to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today I joined 6 more mature ladies, for Lunch at Alan Scott's Winery. What a great decision, we had a table by the fire, (it was raining and a Thunderstorm outside ), were attended to by attentive staff, and enjoyed superb food. The Affogato with Contreau was so indulgent and following my Salmon meal, made for a wonderful dining experience. Throw in a glass of Pinot Gris, and the world ? takes on a welcome atmosphere. Of course the company was excellent as well.
Thankyou to the Picton Company who excelled in their food and friendly, efficient, and welcoming staff.
We will return. ?????
