When my husband and I moved recently, an Oamaru stone statue was broken (no fault of the movers). This was picked up from our home, taken to Oamaru to a sculptor who was able to fix it, then it was delivered back all at no cost to us.
Thank you so much Allied Pickford that was truely amazing of you.

Cancelled pick up time four times before eventually arriving at 4.00 p.m. and finishing at 10.00 p.m. Told me that my goods would be in Brisbane in just over a month, in fact it took three months with several scheduled shipments missed. This cost me several hundred dollars, as I had to cancel air flights and temporary accommodation in Australia. Their communications were terrible and I had to obtain information through Allied Pickford's South Island main office in Christchurch. They told me customs in Brisbane would require just a week to process my effects, but in fact they always require three weeks - so we were without appliances or furniture for a week. No fridge with temperatures in the late 20s! I have subsequently been told other people have also experienced problems with Allied Pickford Timaru but couldn't be bothered to tell of their experiences on sites like this. I am doing so in the hope it will prevent others from misadventures like mine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ move was perfect but one of the boys broke the light and shade. happened on 2nd of May 2015, ashburton. at first was not a big deal but when I got the bill from the house owner a huge $60 to replace the whole thing. emailed Craig (owner/contractor) for Timaru but no replies. wanting to hear from them.

The boys that turned up to load the truck knew exactly what they were doing, and loaded all our possessions in the truck carefully and amazingly quickly.
