★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good camping site, nice brief walk in light bush across a swing bridge but cyanobacteria warning for the water meant we couldn't swim. Cleaner rivers in NZ would be good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An old childhood haunt that I still love, unfortunately the swing bridge is now closed, though you can access the bush walk from another road according to the signs. Still one of my favourite places, and I thoroughly enjoyed my paddle in the shallows. I do hope the Swing Bridge re-opens at some point though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Theres not a lot here apart from a long walk across the suspension bridge. A few bbq areas and a public toilet , it can be a little remote feeling if you intend camping overnight

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An easy bush walk under the trees, with lots of Kawakawa as undergrowth. The bush seemed a bit depleted. I'd say it needs some predator control and get rid of the few browsers. Spotted a few rabbits running around and I'm sure there's possums as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Secluded and beautiful. Toilets and a couple of bush walks. We didn't stay the night as there were a car load of guys drinking all day.
