Most stock isn't priced or have informative labels saying what the plant is or information regarding it which is very annoying when looking for something.
It's generally very sloppy.
Shame as could be quite good otherwise.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large range of plants to choose from with competitive prices. We spent around $150.00 on some lovely trees. Initially when approaching a worker for advice he was very helpful and showed us 30 odd plants however when approached again to ask the whereabouts of the red manuka which wern't flowering and not descriptive of colour on the label, he curtly responded with 'I already showed you once' and went back to his work. Naturally we didn't buy those.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alter-Natives is the best nursery in Whangarei. They have a huge range of plants, trees, hedges and ground covers etc. at very competitive prices. If you need something in particular, just let Phil know and he will arrange it for you. Staff is highly experienced and friendly. The best part is that they have lots of parking spaces available. Highly recommend Alter-Natives Nursery & Landscaping for all your garden needs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I sourced most of the plants for around our pool from Alter Natives. They have a fantastic range of native plants, fruit trees and some exotics, such as the vireya I bought. They were extremely helpful and provided some great advice on how to layout the plants for the best results.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always a pleasure to deal with the knowledgeable and friendly staff. A wide choice of plants, especially natives. Fruit trees in abundance, but you need to be quick, though they can order for you. Extremely affordable so I always buy overboard. There's always just that one more thing to buy...next time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place to get beautiful flowers and plants for your garden or house. The place is well maintained and the staff members are friendly. They are willing you to provide information about their products. There is also lots of parking spaces available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff are super friendly & helpful. Mike went out of his way to get me plants that weren't out already & his colleague put an order in for me for plants they didn't have.
The stock is ok, but a bit thin in some areas. Pricing seems reasonable.
