★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small, quiet, centrally located, excellent lighting in all rooms, beautiful snowy white chunky moisture absorbing towels
Plunger coffee, and a small heated pool for the weather such as it has been recently.
Finally the icy cold air conditioner allowing a soft cold breeze to waft across the bed to keep us cool. I liked the chairs and small table. For me this room no2 was excellently set up

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By far the best motel in Whakatane…!!!! Amazing people…!!! Family friendly….!!! Very understanding…..!!!! My family and I had been travelling all weekend, and didn’t get in till 1am with 5 children and my parents. These lovely people insisted we have a late check out to let us rest a bit more…. They were super helpful and wonderful people…!!! Clean and very convenient.
Definitely recommend A+++++++++++

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean & warm motel. Beautiful thick cotton sheets & towels. I swam in the heated pool twice & loved it. Very accommodating & friendly staff. Kitchen very clean & well equipped with full oven, toaster, fridge & microwave. The dials on the oven were worn though & it was hard to read them. We enjoyed watching Sky movies! Good hot shower.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived in Wakatane without booking any accommodation and on the main road into the town there are many motels to chose from luckily enough we chose the Alton Lodge. Our hostess couldn't be more accommodating and helpful ( she pointed out walks and drives we could do on a map) and our room was just fine, not 5 star luxury just comfortable and quiet. The only issue is that we only stayed the one night. The other draw card when we arrived was the owners lovely dog, Rozetta(?) She clinched the deal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed last night and the room was so comfy and clean. Really spacious too. I would have stayed another night if work had of kept me in town. Definately be back one day I hope. Lovely service too ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent personal service, great clean, tidy and spacious room with comfortable bed. Nice heated pool and fantastic to have all those tv channels for those who like to watch tv. Great location close to town. Alison and Steve are great hosts and love going the extra mile. Great value for money. Will definitely be back.
