★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two options for camping: the North Side has nicer toilets but the South Side allows dogs. South Side has a dump station and has a new toilet block being built that looks quite nice. $5 per person for unpowered, which you pay at an honesty box in the North Side. We had a lovely, quiet stay and enjoyed the very short walk to the nearby beach. A great spot if you're looking for peace close to Christchurch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a really great spot for old and young, vans or tents. Power or no power. Short or longer term. Dogs one end none the other. Clean toilets blocks on both ends.
Dump station on sth end.
Walkways,seats by breakers. Trees and hedges for shelter. Open areas for solar. Playground for young kids, tennis courts.
If you keep walking through the hedge on nth end you find an excellent playground for bigger kids.
About 20 young ones out surfing last night which was great to watch.
Costs start at a very reasonable $5 1van 1 person no power.
