About Anthology K Road
Founded in 2018, Anthology K Road is a new music lounge and premium wine bar located in Auckland’s historic Karangahape Road. Open Wednesday to Saturday, we showcase some of the best liquor from around NZ & the rest of the world.
Anthology K Road is designed as a social space for enjoying fine wines and cocktails with friends, or perhaps the go-to after a concert or dinner and enjoy a night cap. It is hidden down a vintage flight of wooden stairs, the room is blessed with a high ceiling and large windows with moody lighting to set the scene.
The multi-purpose venue is a suitable size for showcases, gigs, parties or events, album launches, jazz nights and big names in an intimate setting. The walls at Anthology K Road showcase the iconic music imagery of many who have graced Anthology’s stage.
Anthology K Road is open Wednesday through Saturday, 7pm till late.
Anthology K Road is closed Sunday through Tuesday, unless arranged prior.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are a band, don't play here. They over charge venue hire. They are incredibly fussy about pack out. They are rude. The staff are incompetent. I saw three arguments with other bands when we played here, and I nearly got into an altercation with the manager myself. He physically blocked a guitarist from leaving with her guitar before the pack down. Play at another venue and let these guys go bankrupt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anthology Lounge beneath Cotto on K Rd is the perfect chill out wine and cocktail lounge with the option of live music. Staff is fantastic and attentive and bar itself is brooding, intimately lit with an ambiance of live jazz underground club. The wine selection is fantastic and their cocktails are impressive. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came to Anthology Lounge for a gig and it was great! Service was friendly and quick for drinks, the staff kept the tables tidy in between sets, and they were great to accommodate and support such an awesome night.
The bathrooms were a bit of a mess but that's what happens at a gig I suppose.
