★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a steak and cheese pie, custard square and a cream doughnut.
The pie was excellent, just the right amount of cheese to steak ratio, crispy pastry.
I thoroughly enjoyed the doughnut but the custard square may have been left a little long as the custard was a bit firm. Definitely will go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just here to echo the thoughts of another review . I have been a regular customer here for a very long time but the prices are now so excessive I will not be coming back. The payWave surcharge thing is also not a good look, you should be able to absorb that cost with the price increases.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is good, but they have jacked up their prices, so much in the last couple of months, We have stopped going here, Pies went up on Avg $.90 ea and sandwiches went up on Avg $.50 ea, now sandwiches have gone up a further $.50 ea again, I noted yesterday.
What made you guys great all the way back to the Bower Ave days and after the earthquakes, when all your customers supported You Guys and your uncles store, by driving to the Aorangi store, ( Yes we have been buying from your stores, for a long time ), was good food at fair to slightly prices, but you have tipped over, by about $.50 per item.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered a mutton pie for $7 and its more like a meatloaf type rather then chunks of meat in gravy. Still tasty but not what I was after , also had a steak,mushroom and bacon pie freshly baked with a cool change drink and based on that pie it was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend it is by far my favourite pie in Christchurch so far. I carnt really have cheese so there is alot of pies with cheese in it including the bacon and egg pie.
