About Aorangi Primary School
What does our logo mean?
Karearea, the New Zealand falcon, soars high in the sky and has exceptional eyesight. It can see great distances. It symbolises our goal of reaching our highest aspirations.
The letter ‘A’ stands for Aorangi school. It also represents our maunga, Mount Ngongotaha. Aorangi means ‘piercing the sky’ and symbolises our goal of rising to great heights to achieve our highest aspirations.
The three koru represent our head, heart and hands.
Head – the belief we have in ourselves to achieve highly.
Heart – the values we hold that guide our achievements.
Hand – the skills we develop that enable us to achieve.

We are privileged to be apart of the new entrants class at Aorangi whaea Peggy is a great teacher who is very dedicated to the children . The children at this school display great manners , courtesy and respect to peers staff and parents. Matua Clayton is friendly and helpful and very approachable. Whaea Anna in the reception is very kind helpful and always smiling . The school is very focussed on health and I would highly recommend this school to parents who want their children in a school environment that encourages the children to care for others we are raising the future leaders of tomorrow if you are looking for a school this is worth noting
