★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oh wao, the place is like haven, amazing view with awesome river. If you guys go there please reach there at 12 pm or bit earlier, because they release water from the dam and after the river gets full and looks amazing. It takes a bit time to get the full but if you wait for it, it'll be worth.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to visit with family, I wish I could fly my drone there to catch the video of dam opening. Good walk and you can take huka falls cruise and jet boat from there too. You can see the video of dam opening on my YouTube channel “Travelling Dilse” there is many other videos too if you wan to see the amazing places of New Zealand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome to see the dam open and release at set times! There are two look out points a short distance from the car park, and can also watch from the bridge next to the car park and power station.
