★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty large church held in the Aurora center at Burnside High school. Worship is like being in a concert, very flashy. Probably appeals more to contemporary less traditional church goers. Larger youth presence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went in with a open mind, this church is really designed for younger people, (I guess their easier to influence). They also preach the Prosperity gospel, I felt uncomfortable with the lack of scripture in the message, and the amount of time talking about the success of the church.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As reported widely in nz news after David Farrier's reports: I’ve continued to receive a torrent of new emails with more horrific stories from within Arise Church, as well as some of the other big Pentecostal churches in New Zealand. The stories are mounting at an alarming rate.
There’s a word that keeps coming up when people message me, and it’s “trauma”. Because when people are spat out of Arise — that is what they’re left with.
Trauma.
