★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the nicest place I have ever stayed. Unbelievable views, comfortable beds and very very clean. Nice decor as well. Great location for beautiful rose gardens and museum as well as good dining in the Parnell district. Ok what made it the nicest was Bart and Therese; they made Glen and I feel like family. Glen was very attached to Barts hot breakfasts. It was all so cool, what a nice welcome to NZ!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having just spent six nights at Bart's and Therese's we have been absolutely spoilt. From the small important things like impeccable manners, courtesy and charm from the hosts to the view and location of the facility, it has been amazing. We used both hire car and public transport to see beautiful Auckland and the North Island and it exceeded our expectations. The location of this facility allowed us to be in the CBD by public transport in 6 minutes and onto the North/South Motorway within 5 minutes. The breakfast is amazing and healthy and a good start to the day. The rooms are very clean, well appointed and serviced daily. We would recommend to any discerning astute traveller to stay at this aptly named boutique Bed and Breakfast.

While the cleanliness and comfort level at The Ascot Parnell B&B were excellent in themselves, the combination of a serene setting and great proximity to a wide range of dining and shops, make this B&B an excellent choice. Proprietors Theresa and Bart’s attention to detail and genuine interest in your comfort make this property truly exceptional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bart and Thérèse are a very welcoming host and hostess duo who maintain a first-rate B&B at a peaceful location in the heart of the enticing Parnell neighbourhood in Auckland. They seem to compete with each other to see who can serve up the most delicious breakfast, all the while providing interesting conversation to the guests and offering advice about Auckland and beyond. In our case they even came to the rescue when we were forced to deal with a medical issue. The Ascot Parnell is a very comfortable and relaxing place, the sort of B&B where it would be nice to stay on almost indefinitely.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bart and Therese are the best hosts ever! They made us feel so welcome and their place is so beautiful! Wish we could have stayed longer!!!! We felt like we had made new great friends!! Bart even got up early and made us breakfast before our early tour to Hobbiton! The breakfast food each morning was phenomenal!! The view from the balcony is fabulous! Best B&B we have ever stayed in!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic hospitality, wonderful breakfast, great location and free secure parking. Suite was very comfortable and Bart even provided a jug of chilled water in our room. A 'gem' in the heart of Parnell. Would highly recommend and walking distance to Cathedral, Parnell Village and the museum.
