About Auckland Dance Company
Our ADC Lyrical Students ( a mixture of absolute beginners and intermediate/advanced dancers) shot Imagine Dragon's "Bad Liar" in a field amongst car headlights out in West Auckland and performed the set live at RISE: 10 with the video launching to a sold out crowd (complete with a baby reveal for one of our pregnant dancers (if you watch closely you'll be able to see it!). The live performance had our students flying in the air, and across the audience, thanks to our amazing stunt team and dancers who were game to fly!

I had a really long break from dance and felt quite nervous at the beginning, but Kimberley, ADC’s director, has been extremely welcoming and supportive. ADC is so much more than just dance, it’s such an inclusive & uplifting environment where everyone can truly be themselves and just have fun (AND we also do shoots & performances which is super exciting). Kimberley has helped me grow as a dancer and has helped me build up my confidence. I have met some amazing people at ADC and made life-long friends! I am forever grateful to this beautiful community ❤️

Kimberley does a fabulous job of making classes just the right amount of challenging, yet so fun. Within an hour you are known by name and can’t wait for your next class. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Watching these amazing dancers at Rise 2019 and 2020, I thought I'll never be able to do what they do. After gentle encouragement from a dance friend I joined. From 0 to actual dancer in 3 lessons and full dance shoot in 2 semesters 16 weeks. Amazing, immediate results in a safe, warm and friendly circle. No egos or competitiveness. Everyone is rooting for everyone being better at each lesson. Also tried silks and hanging upside down, something I never thought I could do. One year later I've done 3 shoots!! It's changed me in ways I didn't expect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So glad I found Auckland Dance Company, it's so difficult to find classes for adults that offer performance opportunities and aren't either too casual or a specific discipline that you really had to have started since you were a child. The company ethos is super supportive and inclusive and everyone is just so encouraging and we really do just have a lot of fun. I always leave classes feeling energised and uplifted.

When I started I was so shy and nervous that I made it a priority to always hide right at the back of the class out of view of the camera. I don't think I even spoke for the first few weeks! Now I've been at ADC for 8 months, and I can't believe how much I've changed. I have so much more confidence performing in front of the camera, along with more creativity and flexibility, faster reaction times and an AMAZING group of new friends that I absolutely treasure <3 ADC supports you to grow and have fun in a safe, judgement-free and vibrant community, and I'm so grateful I plucked up the courage to sign up! xoxox

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely awesome company full of the kindest, most inspiring people. Having no prior dance experience I was fully ready for "one class and done" type of experience- how wrong I was! The team at ADC are really like a family and foster the most awesome environment to learn and grow- both in terms of dance skill and in wider aspects as well. 2021 was such a challenge in Auckland and ADC was so key in finding sanity, hope and confidence. Recommend highly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kimberely is an amazing choreographer and teacher. She inspired us to get out of our comfort zone and had us performing lifts and spins we would have never imagined ourselves doing. She supported us throughout the process, tailored the choreography to suit us and cheered us on with every milestone we achieved. The classes were one of the most enjoyable parts of the whole wedding process, especially after many postponements and lockdowns. They brought us closer together as a couple, strengthening our bond and reminding us what the wedding is all about. Kimberely and her team were very kind and accommodating, working with each alert level and restrictions to make the classes safe and comfortable. Our dance was the highlight of the wedding, and our guests were blown away by it! We were so happy with our dance routine and so grateful that we could finally show off our dance on the big day. We highly recommend Auckland dance company to anyone looking to take up dance classes.
