β β β β β Auckland equestrian centre is a breeding ground of pure excellence. The outstanding service that the school provides is amazing. The new arena is Olympic standard and the ponyβs are extremely friendly and well trained. My mother is loving the experience and canβt get enough!

β β β β β This is an excellent place for new riders of all ages. Being a new rider I have felt very safe at all times. The horses are well trained and well behaved with beautiful temperaments for learning. Grahame & Linda are very welcoming, patient, and have been incredibly flexible with my shift work schedule. They also treat their horses with care and respect. Am really loving my experience here, wouldn't go anywhere else. If you're a newbie rider wanting to learn - this is the place to come!

β β β β β I Witnessed a child fall off a horse while it was under the supervision of Graham. Child fell flat on her back and was clearly gasping for breath and upset. Instead of being comforted and assessed the child was berated for falling off and humiliated in front of the other children. It was and awful experience to watch a child so distressed with an adult raising his voice to an injured child. We canceled the rest of the bookings we had made.

β β β β β My daughter has been riding here for a couple years now and loves everything about it. All the horses are so well behaved and the workers are so kind and supportive. She is always so excited to get back up there during the week!

β β β β β This organisation is not a good place for beginners or those at all nervous or wanting actual clear riding instruction re technique. There is a strange mismatch between the insistence on some safety measures, for example, wearing back protectors which seems like a good thing, but then little conversation re level or information re classes and when I felt uncomfortable about a situation I too (as described in other reviews) felt the blame was put on me, a new student rather than getting support and suggestions for the most appropriate classes. Since trialling this school I have investigated others and can say the comparison is night and day. Mahurangi Riding School, Waterford Riding School and Bartley Riding Schools are all a lot better and safer with very qualified instructors. It would say after my search for a riding school that it is worth asking for credentials and teaching experience. I write this in the hope that I can offer suggestions to anyone who has had a similarly uncomfortable, unhappy and unfriendly experience.

β β β β β My daughter came here as a 4year old and learnt basic foundations of riding, then we had a break for 5 years, now she is back and can't get enough of Graham and Linda and the horses. She understands she is there to learn but loves the confidence the instructors give her. I couldn't ask for better. Every week she is waiting for her lesson. Honestly awesome

Graham and Linda are so lovely! all of the horses are so well kept, taken care of and so well behaved and well trained, the arena is amazing and we can't thank Auckland equestrian and the team more! we can't wait for the next lesson

β β β β β I decided to start riding again after a 20 year gap and I am so glad that I found Auckland Equestrian Centre to help me. Graheam, Linda and the team have been fantastic in helping me regain my confidence and find my riding skills again. Itβs great to be enjoying all aspects of riding, from practising flat work, jumping, to having a fun ride trekking around the paddocks.
The horses are fantastic and looked after very well but above all else there is an amazing community here that is supportive and fun. I have made many new friends through following my passion again.
I highly recommend for anyone riding at any age and any skill level whether you are starting for the first time or returning like I did after a long break.
