Great location, facilities, clean mats and friendly people who are very inclusive - irrespective of background or experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been training at AMAA for two months, mostly attending the no Gi Jiu jitsu and Sambo classes. The coaches, students and environment are excellent.
James teaching the Wednesday jiu jitsu and his coaching often includes conceptual teaching like “win the scramble by making your head and hips higher than theirs”. I find these coaching notes superb at my blue belt level as they are tying in the techniques I’ve been drilling for the past 2 years.
Jahred teaches the Monday and Friday jiu jitsu classes. Jahred coaching has encouraged me to take a thoughtful and proactive approach to jiu jitsu. Historically I would just turn up physically to classes and roll hard but I want using my mind enough.
The environment is a modern martial arts, which is more informal than the traditional jiu jitsu environment.
The Sambo classes are led by Abdullah.
The training is brilliant and includes a proper warmup which has materially improved my athleticism. The drilling covers techniques, usually in the same genre and the classes finish with some sparring.

Super welcoming staff, padded mats and cool in-house merch and photography.
The thing I love most is that it is a judgment-free zone, everyone leaves their ego at the door and comes out feeling satisfied & empowered.

Come in for a trial and you will be greeted by the friendliest staff, amazing facility and an awesome community of people who like to challenge themselves. Everyone here is supporting so no matter whats your style of training you will be able to find something for yourself!
Taking it a few steps at a time all of us eventually felt like getting out of our comfort zone. This place has it all!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing martial arts gym with the best coaches and admin staff. The environment is very welcoming and inviting while the facility itself is very spacious and most Importantly clean. There's heaps of free parking around so there no excuses for being late to class. The gym offers so many different types of classes which is rare to find so the potential to cross train and find what you like is definitely there. Honestly this place has it all, the only thing left is to embrace the grind and sign up.
