About Avid Business Agency
Allison brings strong public and private sector experience at senior levels and is currently a Small Business Advisor to Minister Stuart Nash; has recently been appointed to the Board of Lakes DHB; as well as holding other governance roles.
Her significant experience is demonstrated through leadership roles held including SkyCity Entertainment Auckland where she was in the top 1% of the company hierarchy; CE of Te Puia | NZ Māori Arts & Crafts Institute; CE of Rotorua Chamber of Commerce; Regional Manager of Central North Region, Housing Corporation New Zealand; Director School of Business & Tourism and Acting Deputy CE Māori at Waiariki Institute of Technology; and short term contracts including GM of Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Valley amongst holding other roles.
During Allison’s time as a Small Business Advisor, she was one of the 12 Small Business Council members who wrote the paper “The New Zealand Small Business Strategy” with 20 recommendations. This paper was presented to Minister Nash, and approved by Cabinet. Her ongoing involvement ensures Allison is aware of All-of-Government priorities in the areas of Small Business and other portfolios gained through working with MBIE officials.
Allison has also written feasibility studies, COVID-19 reset plans and has worked across a range of sectors in her current role as the Management Consultant Director and Managing Director of Avid.
