Who is RACE?
RACE is the trading name for Racing at Awapuni and Trentham Combined Enterprise Incorporated. RACE was formed in July 2002 as the umbrella corporate entity for the Awapuni Partnership of Racing Clubs - Manawatu Racing Club Inc, Marton Jockey Club Inc, Feilding Jockey Club Inc and Rangitikei Racing Club Inc. The Wellington Racing Club Inc joined the Group in October 2005.
MISSION
We are here to support our current and future members in keeping racing as a dynamic, engaging and relevant sport within New Zealand.
VISION
To show leadership within the NZ Thoroughbred Industry by developing a contemporary business model that drives a sustainable future through alternative income streams, industry rationalisation and efficiency of operation.
To develop a racing model that drives consistency of brand experience, confidence in wagering and an environment where stakeholders are prepared to invest.
To develop a commercial model where racing co-exists with parallel racing and non-racing related commercial activities to provide strategic growth options.
To provide a first stop entertainment option of choice that offers a platform for a great day out catering for all age groups.
To celebrate racing and increase engagement breeding a new generation of race goers to protect the longevity of racing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice race watching here. Those who run the place are a bit stuck in the past of we owners and members can go here and all others must not be allowed ... But once you accept the assignment of station the racing and betting is well run.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good place was well set up inside as they had two days of the magic of Christmas there. Lots of stalls selling many things. A variety of wonderful things. Prices of a lot of my favourites bit expensive.eatables for the sweet tooth. Savoury.alcohol made privately drawing in the taster. And buyers. Crafts of many varieties. This happens every years cheeses stall, salamas stall also sold beautiful crackers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great day spoilt by security at the gate,tried to leave after race 6 to get somthing from car a big guy told me l and my group would not be let back in ,we were golng to stay when another security person said we could
re enter So we left on trying to re enter 20 minutes later the same big guy refused our entry when questioned said we all look the same did not remem ber proir discussion. Another security person came over and let us through.
We were not trouble makers 3 of us are over 60 and none of us had touch alcohol while there.Sad day used to go all time with my dad, l had not been back to awapuni races since he died 16 yrs ago.Use to have only great memories of the place

All Staff working were extremely helpful and happy.
The toilets we're clean and tidy.
There was a great cafeteria that had a good range of food.
I enjoyed the races, looking at the horses and talking to Staff and trainers.
I will definitely be going again ?
