β β β β β Really grateful this store is in Whakahau A.K.A. Renwicktown where I reside & am grateful to the store owner of Basis who answered my call after hours at 5:44p.m. & informed me he happened to be closing later today as he had a phone call he just finished. He kindly stayed open till I got there (only metres away) shortly after the call to purchase a much needed extension cord that was needed urgently for work to be carried out by someone in the garage with power tools.
I happened to get the last 10 metre extension cord they had today & they have one 2metre extension cord in case anyone is interested in purchasing it :). The 10m cord costed $29.60, Paywave was available & their EFTPOS machine as swift & processing the payment. The store owner was a pleasant man.
Prior to finding out about Basis:
I tried the:
1. Local Supervalue Who had none on the aisle & a staffmember stated that there won't be any at the back storage because what is out on the aisles is what they have.
2. The G.A.S. petrol station, the worker there informed me that they no longer stocked them but, checked to make sure there wasn't any of the stock left & then when there wasn't, kindly recommended trying the Basis store & mentioned that "they have all sorts there" but, may be closed as they close at 5:30.
3. The Dairy next door to G.A.S. as I knew it was open (past experience, note: no clear signage on the window & the door was closed) but, they had had no extension cord & they recommended Thomson electrical which was closer.
4. Thomson electrical was already closed when I got there they close at 5p.m. according to their sign.
5. Then I thought I'd try my luck by calling Basis since it looked like the lights were still on & the rest is history.
