About Bathroom Concepts
Since 1987 Bathroom Concepts has been designing and building Aucklands most beautiful bathrooms. Originally started by Greg Chichester, Bathroom Concepts has since 2009 been proudly owned and operated by Greg’s nephew Phil Dean. With over 15 years experience in bathroom renovations Phil understands the unique challenges that come with renovating bathrooms.
As one of the first full turnkey bathroom renovation companies in Auckland we are proud to have built very strong relationships over the years with tradespeople and suppliers within the bathroom and building industry.
We believe that our client focused approach is the key to a enjoyable renovation experience. We work with you collaboratively at the design stage to create the best overall solution for your bathroom renovation. No two bathrooms are the same so we approach each new bathroom design with an open mind to new ideas. We offer completely unbiased and independent product recommendations and have extensive experience with most major brands on the market.
For the design phase we model up your bathroom fully in our 3D design software. This enables us to play around with different layout concepts and determine appropriate fittings for the design. We have an extensive product library which means we can quickly swap fittings in and out of the design to see how they look. The final 3D design of your bathroom is a very accurate representation of how the finished bathroom will look, right down to the tile layout!
It is our strong belief that good quality fittings and materials are essential for a long lasting bathroom. We only specify products from reputable established suppliers with solid after sales support and we know our team of handpicked, experienced tradespeople will deliver the high quality level of work we expect.

After receiving a few quotes, we went with Phil because of his professionalism, attention to detail and efficient working style. I cannot say whether Bathroom Concepts are more or less expensive than others, since they were the only company I had contacted. But, as far as I am concerned, we got excellent value for our money.
My wife and I both have demanding jobs and we were not keen on being involved in the nitty-gritty of the project. We needed someone who would manage the project without much day-to-day intervention from us. All we had to do was to make selections of various items and once we had agreed on the plan, Phil took charge of the entire project and we never had to bother with the project’s progress. Everything was done in a seamless manner. This was extremely helpful and reassuring for us since I was away for an extended period and my wife would have been hard-pressed if things had not gone to plan.
Phil and his team made sure that even the smallest details were attended to. In fact, I was away overseas for a while during the Covid-19 crisis and was scheduled to go into self-isolation on my return. Phil and his team, with Aaron in particular, went above and beyond the call of duty to get one of our bathrooms ready for my return. Phil was extremely professional and timely in all his interactions with us and he always adhered to the deadlines that he had given us.
All in all, it was an excellent experience dealing with Phil and the team. I have absolutely no hesitation in telling everyone looking to get their bathrooms renovated to go with Phil and Bathroom Concepts. I am certain that you will be delighted with the outcome like we are.

From the moment we engaged Phil and his team, the whole process ran likely a finely tuned machine. Having a great eye for design, Phil was able to take my ideas and adapt them into two very funky modern bathrooms. He was also very flexible when I made small changes to the design along the way and made sure I knew that it was never too much trouble. I was also impressed by the courtesy, promptness, attention to detail and the high quality of the workmanship shown by all of the Team who worked in my house.
