β β β β β Rachael is the best driving instructor I've ever had. She gave me a lot of confidence to start driving, explained how gears work, and taught me so much in only a few days.
I went from being scared to press the accelerator down to driving on Papamoa Beach Road in the same lesson! I never felt like I was being pushed into doing anything, and I felt comfortable the entire time.
Her teaching style is amazing; she keeps a running commentary on what I should do, teaching my brain to adapt to a driving mindset. "Just speed up a bit here... bit more! Slow down to take the corner, check your mirrors, left and center... and accelerate out! Bit more gas!"
She has a good sense of humour, and we had some good chats about Tesla cars etc. Her voice is very calming (and very British), almost like one of those GPS devices that tells you where to go: "And here we'll take the next left..."
Would definitely reccommend to anyone who wants to drive, is learning, or just needs to relearn some stuff.

β β β β β I would highly recommend Rachael from Bay driving school as a driving Instructor. She is very calm and patient and has taught me to be a safe and confident driver. I felt really confident after my first lesson with Rachael. She teaches all the details and points that we need to take care of while driving. Many thanks to Rachael for building up my confidence.

β β β β β I highly recommend Rachael as a driving instructor. She taught my son to drive and he really enjoyed the lessons and gained the confidence he needed to start out. She was always on time and her communication was excellent, friendly and professional. Thank you Rachael you have been a gem. We will be in touch again for more lessons soon :)

β β β β β Both my teenage daughter and son , were lucky enough to have had Rachael take them for a few lessons leading up to their restricted tests. They were both really happy, comfortable and relaxed in her company. They found her a very calming and reassuring presence alongside them in the car, at what can ultimately be quite a stressful time. And they both appreciated her sense of humour, keeping the atmosphere light, and positive.
And as the person paying the bill for these lessons, I was very impressed with Rachaelβs honest appraisal of their needs , in that she suggested they had a couple of lessons in preparation for their test, as she felt they were doing very well just practicing with me , she could easily have told us they needed more and taken the money, but was really honest about the fact that she thought they were doing well enough not to need more than a sharpen up and few pointers when they were ready to book their test.
She was very quick to respond to our initial enquiry, and equally to any txts I sent with questions later too.
Both my teens are now loving their independence, and though naturally a bit nervous on test day, said that Rachael had given them a real confidence boost and really helpful tips to get them through it as smoothly as possible.
So it is safe to say, myself, my son and daughter , have not one ounce of hesitation in recommending Rachael as a driving instructor, we found the whole experience from start to finish of our dealings with her to be professional and positive.
Thank you so much Rachael, it was a real pleasure to have met, and had dealings with you.

β β β β β My daughter has just passed her Driving test first time. Rachael her driving instructor was amazing. Patient, kind but firm & professional. My daughter had some lessons with her dad, however Rachael took her driving skills to the next level. Even I felt safe being driven by my daughter on the way to her test & im a nervous passenger. Fabulous canβt recommend Rachael enough
