We are a New Zealand-owned charity with preschools, kindergarten (kindy), Montessori and early-childhood home-based services nationwide.
BestStart has over 260 early childhood centres from Whangarei to Invercargill. All our centres use the New Zealand curriculum Te WhΔriki, preparing children for their formal education at school. Our trained teachers support children to belong, thrive and achieve through the world-recognised philosophy of learning through play.

β β β β β My son suffered from 2 concussions I had child youth and family knock on my door after I took him to hospital!!, my daughter got a black eye. After questioning them about all of these things they couldn't explain what happened! They are now changing the name of the kindy since we pointed out others have also rated them 1 star on Google. Since pulling my children out of the kindy I have heard no up dates of my complaint I made a month ago

β β β β β From the moment we came to Best Start Russell Street we felt welcome. Moving from a different country it was important for my children to settle in and feel safe. Kylie and all the staff at the center have been really supportive. I would definitely recommend this kindy to anyone without hesitation
