★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down best coffee in the area (dare I say region?!)...based on an arguably objective long black lover. Scrumptious menu including Wild Wheat (!) breads, Duck Island Ice Cream, bacon/egg bagels, reuben sandwiches and the list goes on...
Also love what Nic, Peony and BWC stands for ?. Check out this boutique business for yourself and enjoy an epic walk around this new town while you’re there, coffee in hand!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In the heart of Auranga is a boutique cafe, Better Way. Owned by a lovely couple Nick and Peony, they serve the finest Allpress coffee along with a selection of Noble & Savage teas.
There’s a small selection of sweet and savoury goods, definitely need to try the cookies if you’re around. Did I mention they also have Duck Island Ice cream!!!?? What’s better than visiting Auranga getting duck island Ice cream!

The surrounding area is beautiful (although at the moment there is some landscaping work), a perfect place for a break in a busy day.
The bacon and egg bagel is yum, but my favourite is the kimchi&cheese toasty (seems odd, but it's delish!)
Update: I haven't been there for a couple of months, and I was very pleased to see how Better Way Cafe has developed! It's noe a quaint little place with bean bags, a sun cover, tables... The menu is expanding and the music is on point!
Definitely worth a visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We found this place on Easter Monday on our mission to find an open cafe. The coffee was really good and we had a lovely hot cross bun and caramel slice. Our dog also enjoyed the home made dog biscuits.
There is a really cool agility dog park close by and a walkway. Unfortunately the coastal walkway is still under construction but it will be a really lovely walk once completed.
This cafe is not close to where we live but if we were in the area again would definitely not hesitate to drop in.
