★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used our Grab One platter voucher. Food was good but upon paying we got charged extra above the voucher value and questioned it but was told that's how the vouchers worked. Not wanting to make a scene we left and I attempted to contact them 4 times afterwards in writing but have never heard back. Ended up receiving a refund from Grab one . Would definitely not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I generally don’t review places unless they really impress me and this place really impressed me. Food was divine, service was friendly and the cocktails were lovely. If you are in or traveling to Christchurch like I was then I would recommend having a meal here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My bf got these 2 platters thru grabone and dude its more than expected for a coupon resto. The bread was sufficient, falafel amazingly taste good (i usually find it digusting but not this!) the bbq meats are well marinated and cooked just right (not too dry or undercooked), so juicy and tasty. We highly recommend this cozy resto!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely restaurant. My partner and I had a wonderful time. I got the falafel kebab and he got the beef kebab. Both were beautifully presented and tasted great. The service was very warm and friendly and we got some free Turkish delight towards the end of our meal.. lovely outside place as well. Would definitely recommend this place.??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely casual little restaurant. Excellent food and friendly service. Fries with mushroom sauce oh my so delicious and meat cooked perfectly. Complimentary Turkish delight a lovely gesture. Owner and staff so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning often!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Boteco is a warm and friendly little place, made that way by the generous and genuine welcome you will receive from the owner and staff when you arrive.
On a warm afternoon or evening, the outdoor seating would be an excellent choice. There are gas heaters next to some of those tables for when it gets a bit chilly. We stayed inside as the Christchurch easterly was whistling through.
Our meals were really good. A nice size, but not ridiculously large as so many places seem to dish up these days. It was just the right amount. The wine list has good variety, and Three Boys craft beer on tap with other brands available from the fridge kept me very happy
The free square of Turkish delight we were offered as we left was a lovely gesture.
Definitely recommend this place - add it to your must-go places list.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hidden gem just outside of the Christchurch CBD, Boteco Cafe & Restaurant is a must-go for Mediterranean cuisine. The atmosphere is cosy, yet open, with large windows looking onto a private and well-presented outdoor dining space. The smell of cooking meat hangs in the air; an aromatic entrée to the delicious food that is to come.
The dinner for my group of 4 consisted of perfectly crumbed popcorn prawns, well-seasoned beef and lamb kebabs, and an indulgent authentic mousaka. Surprisingly the accompanying garlic aioli dipping sauce was a standout, taking the prawns and kebabs to the next level. And if you are lucky, there may be complementary authentic Turkish delights offered at the counter as you leave; great texture and not overly sweet!
A delectable experience and a memorable setting! I look forward to returning in the future to try other items across the menu.
