Unformed track to trig point so wear good shoes and choose a day that isn't too windy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brandon's Rock Reserve and Trig have awesome views across Wellington harbour to the city and the Hutt Valley from the top of Newlands in Wellington. Full 360 views also take in Mt Kaukau to the west, Matiu/Somes Island to the east and out towards Colonial Knob to the north-west. What's best is that you can drive almost all the way up to appreciate this great vista. The reserve also has a small playground to entertain the kids. Well worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood.
