The Tremains Story
Founded by All Black and rugby legend, Kel Tremain in Hawke’s Bay in 1970, Tremain Real Estate is a market leading real estate company that is renowned for its family values, involvement in its local communities, exceptional quality of marketing and top tier sales consultants.
Tremains is now led by Kel’s middle son, Simon Tremain, who took over the reins of the business in 1992 upon Kel’s passing. Since then Simon, alongside his business partner, Cam Ward, has significantly grown the business to include five offices across Hawke’s Bay. 2018 saw the expansion of the brand into Taupo, Rotorua and Tauranga through partnerships with existing leading real estate businesses. In 2019, the business took one step further and expanded in Wairarapa.

I have had a great experience dealing with the Bastin Group. This marks my 6th property purchase and by far i have had the best buyers experience with this most recent purchase, all thanks to the Bastin Group.
Andre is an effective communicator with a can do attitude and always willing to go that extra mile for his clients. Amy has also been very helpful and has played a valuable part in this process. While i have only meet Brent the once - his enthusiasm and cutting edge videos shows how he has been successful in the real estate space in Tauranga.
I think the success from this group comes from their willingness to work with buyers, providing great service, while the agent works for the vendor, I feel I have received the same level of service.
I'm currently in the process of selling two rental properties, i hope my agent works just as closely with the buyers to provide a overall good experience for them, as that is what it is all about the whole process is an experience. From good experiences comes good referrals and recommendations (word of mouth).

Selling the house wasn’t as simple as call up an agent and Chuck it on the market, you’re lucky if it is. For us we had several agents view our property, some with similar commission rates some with the same experience and some cheaper. Brent saw the potential in the property and gave us awesome advice that others had said not to touch the property and let others make the improvements.
So after our initial meeting April 2021, we followed Brent’s advice and it definitely paid off. From previous experience and the money we spent doing up the property we certainly made much more than if we had left it for others to do, and with the market in this current state, that’s no mean feat. We were still under no obligation to go with Brent but felt that he had the best take on the market.
Apart from his expertise, it’s clear that he is happy to take the time to just listen. We must have had conversations where there was little to do with the sale of the property but just getting to know us and what we were really about.
Brent’s team is just like that. They listen, reflect and give honest appraisals. Due to Covid issues we also dealt with Andre as well as others in the team. Andre is just as driven, hard working and nothing seemed like too much of an ask.
On the team that Brent runs, I haven’t come across that level of great communication even as a teacher. We were kept up to date tirelessly and as my wife mentioned to them, that personal touch of leaving voice memos was a great personal touch in the WhatsApp message centre. Hearing their voices and the excitement they conveyed rather than just reading a text meant a huge deal to us as people who work in a peoples centred environment.
Needless to say, all their hard work in the background paid off for us in so many ways, not just financially.
It all felt pretty effortless- apart from the continual tidying for open homes and private viewings- we will always be in their debt. Great team, great work ethic, great people.
