β β β β β Smart Energy Solutions installed under floor and ceiling insulation into our 1950's bungalow prior to last winter and the difference was amazing. Since then we have also installed the bathroom ventilation system and we now no longer need to have the windows open during the winter to get rid of the steam. The team at Smart Energy Solutions were so helpful and friendly and I would highly recommend them to others.

Booked an appt for a quote for roof insulation, guy arrived on the due date and time and was good to deal with. Then things went wrong. 9 days later no quote. I rang them after 8 days, explained the situation, they took my details and promised someone would ring back that day - nada. Rang again today, explained my situation, got put through to someone else, I explained the situation again, got put through to the 3rd person, I explained the situation for the 3rd time, got put on hold for 17 minutes, finally they came back with the quote saying XXX was away for the day. Laughable. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

β β β β β Kia Ora, I chose to purchase a air ventilation system for my home and I was recommended Brgihtr from a friend. Since I have had my air ventilation system my home is dry and has remained dry. Very wise investment. Great product and great service. :)

β β β β β Terrible service, don't waste your time, go to a specialist for insulation or heating depending on what you need.
We arranged an appointment which was attended on time and the guy talked a good game. When he left he said he would be back in a few days with a couple of quotes on the options we discussed . Specifically multiple heatpumps vs a ducted system.
We have ample ceiling space for top floor access and access to the between floor cavity space, though admittedly this does have some cross bracing to contend with.
Anyway, after a month no contact, I called to follow up, I was diverter to overflow center who took all the details, then transfered back to CHC office where the answer to the transfer was "Hello".
They then asked if I wanted to call the guy to follow up. There where no records in their system of any quotes... Are they using subcontractors? "No" she said. In that case you follow up and then send me my quotes...
Later that night I received llthe following email from the guy which I noted was on a non energy smart email address.
"Apologies for not getting back to you regarding the ducted heat pump but my installer has
concerns around the access of ducting between the mid floor joists and reaching the areas
requiring outlets. He stated that he would feel comfortable. The only safe rooms are your
downstairs office and the small upstairs bedroom - the other rooms are too difficult to try
and vent with ducting that may not fit or get damaged during install.
I'm sorry but I must pass on quoting for your property.".
Rude, delayed, and only a single option when we discussed alternatives. All of upstairs could easily be ducted and there is external wall access to all downstairs rooms for individual heatpumps.
Needless to say I would not recommend. I also believe the response is because he dropped the ball and that access is possible. I will be running my own ducting.

β β β β β Booked in a healthy homes assessment - took nearly 3 weeks for report to arrive; with me following up half a dozen times. At one point, I was given a verbal apology, and told a manager would contact me to discuss further for my complaint. More than a month on, and I haven't heard back. Once report arrived with a quote, I asked for clarification about items on the quote. 3 days on and no reply about the quote, I followed up with a phone call - did not make sense over the phone, so requested an e-mail with updated quote and explanation. The drama continues. Wouldn't recommend them.

β β β β β Staff installed a heat transfer unit in the lounge and an extractor fan in the bathroom. Efficient and friendly (an Indian and a Chinese person) and I enjoyed meeting them and their workmanship. Happy customer!
