My name is Kade Brittin and I am an employee at Brittin Canvas I am writing this review in response to Stephen Leonards review. Mr Leonard came into our Business on a Friday morning with a boat cover that needed 2 tears patched and a reinforcing added, his words when he walked in were " Yeah I've just got a small job here I want done before the weekend" Our employee advised him that this is our busy time of the year being January and we have about a weeks worth of "small jobs" already so not only cant we do it today but that he would have to wait until those jobs are done. Mr Leonard replied "Look mate its just a small job it wont take 10 minutes to fix" Our employee then replied "actually it would be more closer to 30 mins which would be roughly $25 to $30 but even still if we were to push you in-line we wouldn't be able to get onto the job until the first couple of days the following week" Mr Leonard replied "Righto I guess that'll have to do then, I'll be in mid next week sometime". The following week we did not get around to doing Mr Leonards job as we were just too busy. Mr Leonard did not come in mid week but instead rang on the following Saturday morning asking if his job had been done to our part-time employee who said I'll just have a look in the finished racks while looking for the job about 20 sec (also having Mr Leonard on the cordless phone) Mr Leonard said in a disgruntled voice " What! Cant you find it?" Our employee replied "Not yet but it will be here" Mr Leonard then replied in an aggressive toned voice stating "Don't worry I'll come down now and If its not done then don't bother I'll take it somewhere else!" and hung up. Our employee came to see me and asked if I knew where the job was and it was my 2nd job in the list to do that day and I had it on my bench. The boss overheard us discussing what had just been said on the phone and said he would do it now and not to worry he will apologize to the customer about why it had not been done. An hour later Mr Leonard came in and was very abrupt reinforcing what he had said on the phone. The boss then started apologizing saying he had done the job and it was just $20 to say sorry for the time delay. Mr Leonard then raised his voice saying very angrily "What cant you listen to simple instructions?! I said if its not done don't f#@kin do it!" The boss then took a step back and said "Look firstly don't speak to me like that and secondly I was trying to do you a favour" Mr Leonard then said " What by overcharging me for a job I just told you not to bother doing!" The boss was insulted at this stage and said "Look that job should have been $28.00+gst! I don't know how you charge in whatever you do for a job but I think I have been more than fair! Do you want me to unpick the patches and reinforcing and you can take your cover and don't come back" Mr Leonard then smugly replied " I'm a cop so I "charge" whoever I want!" then laughed and said "na here's your 20 bucks" flicking a note over the counter, The boss then said "You know what your an a#$@ole and don't come back here again" Mr Leonard then started yelling "So what all cops are a#$%oles are they? I'd watch what I say if I were you!" The boss then said "I never said that but if they're like you then ask yourself" and reinforced what he had said which is to leave and don't come back. Mr Leonard then left and from the front door until about 20 meters where he was parked was yelling abuse the whole time it took him to walk to his vehicle. Not only was I present at work at the time this took place but also 2 other employees and a customer who were absolutely appalled at Mr Leonards attitude and even worse his partially threatening abuse of his Police authority. Then to post absolute lies has us all gob-smacked. Its pathetic and I will be laying a formal complaint to Mr Leonards superiors and expect this false review to be removed. Sorry about the huge blurb I just felt the full story needs to be put out there.

Brittin Canvas made and installed a waterproof shade sail for us. Darren was most helpful recommending and sourcing a suitable product. Made a great shadesail and we are now enjoying it. Very friendly staff.
