Dont trust this company, one of the mechanics jace is 100% untrustworthy, hes money hungry and doesnt care who's cost it's at. They do a lot of Dodgey work behind the scenes, they've screwed up with other companies so much they have to get other Dodgey non-employess to do tasks for them because other companies and stores will refuse to interact with them due to their lack of consideration and quality when it comes to cars. I paid them upfront and informed them about the things required to be done to the car and they quoted it and left it two days before the wof was due and then bailed the last minute and refused to give my own money back the night before the wof inspection. I will upload his personal business card. He complained the whole time that I took the car to Pegasus BayAuto to be checked over rather than Cactus cars, but this woman took her car to cactus cars and they missed wof failures such as worn breakpads and other failures that are dangerous and deadly if left undetected. They also didnt replace the parts she had paid for. -1/10 for cactus cars, take your car to a place that has regular drug testing.

Don't go there, incompetent staff, dishonest boss. I went to his place because my van was not starting, I waited two days in front of his garage because he told me he could help me. They spent 30 minutes looking for the problem. At the end they flooded my engine, no solution and charged me $ 400 and he even tried to sell me one of his car!

Thank you for all the complimentary and the odd not so complimentary reviews as it helps us to learn and provide a better service for you. Id like to clarify the two negative reviews below. A) Yes I did hire a sub-contractor to complete mechanical work in my workshop, on an as and when needed bases. This sub-contractors is no longer utilized by Cactus Cars. However if he chose to take on work for someone else on the weekend at his home around the time he sub-contracted to me and others and the job didn’t go to plan. This would be his business and has nothing to do with me as he wasn’t contracted by Cactus Cars to complete this job. and to be clear Tahlia, your vehicle has never been to by business. B) Your van was towed into us (Not starting) We spent about ½ checking your van and identified the plug leads were not transferring enough power to the spark plugs. You were given a price and agreed to have them replaced. You then asked if this would guarantee to fix it and were told “hopefully” this will be the only issue but couldn’t guarantee it. The plug leads were supplied & changed. The van spun over fast but still wouldn’t fire up. A local auto sparky was called in and was unable to identify any issues The customer was asked if they would like us to investigate further and we were told they were not prepared to pay us to investigate further. The customer was charged for the new plug leads, auto sparkys & our time. The customer then asked if a tow start would work and I advised not to as we didn’t know what the problem is. Later that day the customer decided to try and tow start the van, something broke and the engine seized . To be clear •We have no control over what a sub-contractor does when he’s not sub-contracting to us. •If a customer chooses not to take our advice and something goes wrong. We can’t be held responsible.
