About Cameron Harrison Butchery

Rob then used his skills and knowledge to manage and grow several butcheries, before creating Cameron Harrison.

Rob opened his first Cameron Harrison butchery in Tawa, in August 2009 and has since gone on to win over 20 awards over the last 6 years, winning an award every time he has entered a competition. He has since expanded his butcheries to Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt and Ngaio, with the plan of going further.

He enjoys growing the company and having a flexible management role that ensures he can provide first-hand, on the job training and mentoring to each and every staff member. He prides himself in being innovative and maintaining Cameron Harrison’s position, in the forefront of their industry.

When he is not working in one of his stores, you can find Rob hunting, fishing or hitting a bag or two down at Wainuiomata Boxing Club, a club that he founded and now manages.

Best quality meat in Wellington area. I shop here for my family because of high quality and wide range of recipes. The owner is passionate about his job and he goes extra miles to make his customers happy. You find a great collection of sausages from different part of Europe. Even if you don't find your favourite one, you can ask them and you may get it next time! Highly recommend!

Can't fault the service and product, very nice. But for the exact same items I had done with the previous owners as Park Avenue Meats, same packaging and weight, price has gone up over 60%.

Some good pre-packaged meats. But not what I was expecting sadly. What happened to all the 'real' butchers?

Terrible home kill sausages - I have used their home kill processing services twice to have sausages made (venison) with disappointing results. The first time I tried the 'beef flavored' variety, these were bland and comparable to a cheap supermarket sausage. Second time I tried the 'country pork/venison', this sausage was very dry, had a chewy casing and overpowering herb flavor. They are not the same quality as the other non home kill sausages sold.
