About Carlyle Medical Centre
We have 8 consulting rooms, a large nurses consulting room and a large modern treatment area with 3 treatment bays. Our patient management system is MedTech 32.
The practice currently has 6,500 patients with a wide social and age mix. We consult by appointment but try to accommodate emergencies if possible. We also carry out a significant amount of medical and occupational health services for local businesses.
Opening hours are usually 8:00am through to 5:30pm; Dr’s Wright, Arthur and White provide late evenings (7:00pm) for their patients only on Tuesday and Thursday.
We are part of Health HB PHO and have capitation based funding. Our out of hours cover is provided by City Medical. We are a connected and cohesive team – we pride ourselves on being patient-centre, proactive in addressing health inequities, culturally aware and supportive of each other as colleagues.

β β β β β I've been visiting these doctors for 8 years. I only met one rude doctor. The rest of the doctors, nurses, and staff have always given high quality advice and service.

β β β β β Absolutely disgusting receptionist the most rudest ever. I rang to enquire about medication for my father she asked if he was a patient I said no then she just hung up. So the time is now 16.52pm Wednesday the 21st of September 2016 if any management persons are reading this review you should know who it was at reception with these details. She needs to be disciplined BIG time. Absolute no time ever for that one individual.

β β β β β I switched to this practice about 10-12 months ago and I'm so glad I did. Every experience i have had there - the reception staff, nurses & my doctor have all been excellent. They are compassionate, efficient & have a good dollop of humor in there too.

β β β β β Poorly run facility. Rung up prior to appointment to organise registering and child's vaccination. Followed all procedures and filled out appropriate paperwork. Reiterated the importance of getting the vaccine in before we turn up for our appointment as they are not often stocked. Turn up on the day to hand over our forms which we filled out as requested. The receptionist was rather rude in the process explaining that we weren't registered and we said we are just following what we were told on the phone and to bring the paper work in. Sat and waited over 2 hours with people coming and going and to finally see the nurse that was about to go on break and didn't even recognise us, to turn round and say they don't stock the vaccine and can't help today and will have to come back. Well what a kick in the guts that was, especially when we drove to the facility and sat with a child and trying to keep them still for two hours which is difficult and to have to come back. What a waste of time and I hope the next visit is a better experience. Where can I invoice them for wasted time and travel costs? I cant, just another expense we have to soak up.

β β β β β I rang up the to try and get my 22 month girl in to see a doctor urgently. And was advised a nurse would ring me back. I waited for 1hour and 10 mins but no call. I then called them back only to be told to take her to the city medical. Very disappointing service especially when it was concerning a toddlers health.
