Central Taranaki Automotive is a local business and is owned by Kevan & Wendy Old. We brought the business 10 years ago, as the business has grown, we have employed extra staff. Kevan Old is an Auto Technician and has been in the trade for 38 years specializing in Toyota vehicles. Wendy Old does the day to day running of the office and taking care of the customers needs, Gary Old & Isaiah Hemopo are both auto technicians, Ricky Howells is in his 3rd year apprenticeship, Matthew Edser is a 1st year apprentice, Deanna Old helps Wendy in the office with the ordering of parts and invoicing, Lukah Phillips is in charge of preparing the site for the day to day operation.

Ever so grateful for the professionalism and willingness to drop everything else and help us out. Highly recommended business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow what service! 100% recommend and would make my regular if I didn’t live in Wellington! Kevan and the team went out of their way (including pulling one of their old auto electricians out of retirement!) to get us back on the road as we were travelling through. We had a scary moment in the middle of the forgotten highway with no phone service where the starter motor solenoid wouldn’t engage, we stayed up on the side of Taranaki that night and a similar thing happened so the next morning we zipped into town to see if we could get it sorted before moving on any further, Kevan and the team were super accomodating and got us back on the road in hours with great service and a great price too! We were able to head back up the mountain and still get all the hiking in we had planned for the day!

Kevan and his team checked my car even though it was just half an hour to closing time at the end of the week, and assured me that I could travel safely back home. They also gave me a good indication of what needed to be done to fix the car.

They sorted us out the next day with no problems at all and actually took us in to explain the issues in depth! Best mechanic I've been to! The lollies at the end were also appreciated :).

Because of the service we received from that one visit I won’t be taking our vehicle anywhere else if it needs any attention.
Extremely fear rates.
Customer service, was second to none.
The workshop team, great to deal with.
Workmanship, top notch!
The car even got a clean, tyres got a shine and a little pack of lollies on the front seat.
